Design for a master suite adding function and sophistication

We designed and developed a master suite for a traveling scientist adding custom mill work with a feature wallpaper wall. We made the bedroom lighter by adding ceiling trim to accommodate recessed lights, pendant lighting and a custom bed. In the bathroom we worked with the existing wall and floor tile and built a custom vanity. This project was done in collaboration with Alexander Butler Design Services, built by LW Construction and photographed by Andrii Zhulidov.

We designed this custom bed to accommodate a king-sized bed in the master bedroom. Take note of how the headboard sits notched around the baseboard, the symmetry of the tufting and the pedant lights centered on the nightstand. The fabric is oh so soft and has a beautiful sheen.

We designed a custom vanity with generous counter top space, accent lighting, sconces installed on mirrors and tub deck and apron for the bath tub to make it a feature. Design challenges include working with the existing wall and floor tile.
